Scott was born in North Carolina and raised in the city of Spencer which is in Rowan County.  His life experience of public education, military service and his entrepreneurial small business experience have prepared him for the challenge to serve as your next representative of District 13 in Congress.

He stands ready to focus on the issues that are important to all of us: increasing opportunity for jobs, fair wages and opportunities for small business to expand and hire locally.  Make affordable, quality health care a priority and make it accessible to everyone.

Scott's involvement in his community has energized and renewed the hope that government can work for the many and not just benefit those at the top. His service to country is grounded in his upbringing.
